The Buses are Rolling at CN!

  • We have added 2 more seat-belted buses for the 2020-2021 school year!  

    We've added Bus 2 and Bus 5 to our fleet of 78-passenger buses with lap shoulder belts for student safety.  Each new route bus added, per our Bus Replacement plan, will now feature Lap-Shoulder belts.  Seat belts are in our buses to increase student safety on the bus and all students are expected to wear them.  A seat belt in our bus is no different that in a standard motor vehicle--it's a requirement.  We encourage you  to go over the revised Bus Rules/Safety form with your student, as well as watch the usage video linked below.  Discuss with them the importance of these rules, especially seat belt safety.  The rules as well as the Seat Belt Training Guide and Video Link can be found to the right, under the Documents tab or by clicking the links below.  A copy of both will also be included with your student route information mailing in August.

    We plan to have one of the seat belted buses available at Open House/Back to School night on August 11th; one will be at each campus the duration of the Open House.  Students may board the buses, ask questions and practice putting on and taking off the seat belt.  Parents may ask questions and see how they function as well.  You may also turn in your Training Form at this time.

    Remember: Even if your student isn't on one of these buses for their normal route, they may still ride one for the Primary Shuttle, other shuttle services, field trips or athletic events.

  • Please see below for a Bus Route Timeline for the 2020-2021 School Year.  Please note changes may occur based on DOE Guidance regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic.

    July 27, 2020: Bus drivers meet for Summer Safety Training and receive preliminary route information.  Drivers will run routes and make adjustments to stops as needed.  Route information will be compiled, and letters with route & Primary shuttle information will be mailed out the following week. 

    August 4, 2020: Letters have been mailed to families listing Bus #, Stop Location/Address and approximate Stop Times.  Drivers will be contacting families as well.  Please note families will be contacted only by their primary route driver, NOT their Primary Shuttle driver.  
    If you do not receive a letter or notification, it is most likely 1 of 3 things:

         1. The mailing address registered is not valid.  
         2. The phone number listed is not valid.  
         3. Your student isn't yet registered for school.  This MUST be done to have your spot on the bus

    August 7, 2020: Deadline for drivers to make phone calls to families

    August 12: First day of school!

    If you don't receive a letter or phone call, this means you are not assigned to a route for the new school year due to not yet being registered OR inaccurate contact information was supplied during the registration process.  Only registered students are guaranteed seats on a bus.

    The primary shuttles will leave Albion Campus for CN Primary by 8:15am.  Students should be at the Elementary Gym no later than 7:55 am.
    All students will return to the Albion Campus to get on their bus, walk home or be picked up by the normal release time of 317pm.


     

     




  • For any long-term or permanent change of transportation, we require a Student Transportation Request Form be filled out and filed within the department.  

    We ask that you limit the number of pick-up and/or drop-off locations to a maximum of two (2) addresses, to limit confusion within the school office as well as with our drivers.

    If you have a need to change the address in which your student is picked up and/or dropped off at, please CLICK HERE to submit your request.  Paper copies of the form are also available with the school secretaries.

    Changes in transportation take a minimum of 48 hours to process, so please bear this in mind when making arrangements for your child.
