Public Hearing Announced

The Central Noble School Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on the proposed Superintendent's contract between CNCSC and Dr. Barry Younghans.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING THE PROPOSED CONTRACT BETWEEN

Central Noble Community School Corporation

Employing Dr. Barry Younghans as Superintendent

On December 15, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. in the Central Noble Community School Corporation Jr. Sr High School located at 302 Cougar Court, Albion, Indiana, the Board of School Trustees will meet to discuss and hear from the public objections to and support for the proposed contract, which will be effective from: December 16, 2025 to June 30, 2028.

PROPOSED CONTRACT DETAILS

            Annual Base Salary                                                                $125,000.00

            Annual 401(a) Plan Contribution                                                 2,000.00

            Annual Long Term Disability                                                           

            Premium Contribution                                                                     360.00

            Annual Term Life Premium

            Contribution       (162,000.00)                                                      2,419.20

            Sick day buy back at termination (current)                                   7,080.00            

             Car/Mileage allotment                                                                 3,000.00

            Total Proposed Contract Details                                            $139,859.20

Agreement Length:     30 months with renewals.  The proposed contract can be canceled by the Board of School Trustees for the reasons set out in Indiana statute.

At contract termination Central Noble shall “buy” Superintendent’s sick days at the then daily teacher rate currently 118 days at $60.00.

The Superintendent and Central Noble Community School Corporation can by mutual agreement cancel the proposed contract at any time.     

Work Days:  The Superintendent receives 20 vacation days and 10 personal days.

Increases and decreases:  The Board of School Trustees annually reviews the Superintendent’s performance, salary and benefits, and may approve changes in base salary, contributions, or allowances at that time.
